Medical Response Ongoing for 84 Victims of Methanol‑Laced Alcohol in Madhya Pradesh

Health authorities in Sagar are providing continuous care to 84 individuals who consumed liquor contaminated with methanol. Of these patients, 59 are admitted to Bundelkhand Medical College, 17 are under observation at the district hospital and seven are being treated at Bhanda Civil Hospital. Doctors report that most patients remain in a stable condition, and new admissions have declined as word spreads. Priority has been given to dialysis and essential medication, while a severely ill patient was transferred by air to AIIMS Bhopal. The administration assures that necessary diagnostic facilities and life‑saving drugs are being made available on a priority basis.
