Medical and Dental Faculty Recruitment Drive: Details of Positions, Pay and Eligibility
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Dental College and Hospital, Rohini, Delhi, has opened a recruitment notice for 19 teaching posts in its medical and dental departments. The advertisement lists nine Associate Professor positions and ten Assistant Professor positions, each offering a monthly salary of ₹1,50,294 plus additional perks.
Assistant Professor vacancies are allocated as follows: Anesthesia (1), General Medicine (2), General Surgery (2), Human Anatomy (1), Human Psychology (1), Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Oral Implantology (2), and Pharmacology (1). Associate Professor posts include Anesthesia (1), Conservative/Endodontics (1), General Medicine (1), General Surgery (1), Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Oral Implantology (3), Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry/Pedodontics (1), and Pharmacology (1).
Candidates must possess a BDS degree and, for medical faculty roles, an MSc in subjects such as Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, General Pathology, Pharmacology, or Microbiology. Dental faculty candidates must comply with the DCI’s BDS/MDs regulations of 2007, which are periodically updated. Age limits are 67 years for medical faculty and 62 years for dental faculty, calculated as of the interview date.
The selection process will be carried out through a walk‑in interview and document verification. The interview schedule is set for 8 September for medical posts and 9 September for dental posts, both at the Dean’s office, ESIC Dental College and Hospital, Rohini Sector‑15, Delhi, starting at 11 a.m. Registration and verification will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the interview day.
Applicants need to submit an online application fee of ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories; fee waivers apply to SC/ST, PwD, ex‑servicemen, women, and departmental candidates. The selected candidates will be hired for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension up to two additional years based on performance, or until they join the regular faculty, whichever occurs first.
