Mayor Umesh Chandra Highlights Prayagraj's Cultural Heritage at Prerna Park Event

Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesrwani told reporters that Prayagraj, one of India’s oldest cities and a cradle of revolutionary thought, now adds a new landmark on the sacred Yamuna shore. The municipal corporation has installed three statues – Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Ashok Singhal – to celebrate their contributions to nation‑building and cultural preservation.

He emphasized that the park, equipped with food courts, restaurants, and boating facilities, will be promoted as a prime tourism destination. The mayor added that the venue will serve an educational purpose, awakening citizens to India’s rich heritage and encouraging social cohesion.
