Mayawati calls for strong candidates and voter inclusion in Uttarakhand
Mayawati underscored the need to field "battle‑ready" candidates who can resonate with the aspirations of Uttarakhand’s diverse electorate. She linked candidate selection to a robust grassroots network that can mobilise voters at the booth level.
The BSP chief reiterated that the party must continuously monitor the electoral roll to ensure that the youth, women and marginalised communities are not denied their constitutional right to vote. She directed senior officials to launch a targeted outreach program that will register missing names before the final roll is frozen.
In parallel, the meeting reviewed logistical arrangements for the upcoming commemoration of BSP founder Kanshi Ram’s birth anniversary on October 9, emphasizing a low‑risk, mission‑driven approach.
