Mayawati calls for vigilance against misinformation as BSP gears up for fifth term

On Saturday, BSP national president Mayawati warned that a coordinated misinformation campaign is underway in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab. She said that certain media houses and social‑media influencers are deliberately publishing fake survey figures to create a perception that the party is losing ground.

Mayawati reassured party cadres that the BSP has already begun comprehensive preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, from finalising an experienced slate of candidates to mobilising volunteers across rural and urban areas. She stressed that the party’s commitment to "law for the rule of law" and "welfare for all" remains unchanged.

The leader reminded the public that similar attempts were made during the 2007 polls, yet the BSP emerged victorious with a clear majority. She warned that the same caste‑oriented narrative is being revived by opponents seeking to fragment the Bahujan electorate.

She concluded by urging citizens to stay away from any false propaganda, to support the BSP’s vision for a fifth government in Uttar Pradesh, and to view the upcoming election as a collective step toward a stable and prosperous future for the state.
