Mau Police Nab Jewelry Thief Amidst Nighttime Clash; Two Accomplices Flee

Separate from the Bhulwani homicide, Mau district police engaged in a confrontation that ended with the arrest of a male suspect in a jewelry theft case. The accused, identified as Mayank Yadav, was captured after a brief skirmish. Two of his accomplices, Raja Rajbhar and Lala alias Yogendra Rajbhar, took advantage of darkness to escape. Investigators recovered the stolen ornaments, an illegal firearm known locally as a "tamacha," several cartridges, and the motorcycle that was used during the robbery. The evidence chain has been secured, and further legal action is in progress.
