Marriage Hall Mayhem in Greater Noida: Assault During Wedding
A wedding hosted at D Ground Hotel and Marriage Hall in the Jevar police zone of Greater Noida descended into disorder on July 6 when a group of young men stormed the venue. Over half a dozen individuals entered the marriage hall abruptly and began striking guests, causing the celebratory mood to collapse into shouts and panic. Recorded footage of the assault has gone viral, depicting the attackers delivering kicks and punches. Although the video’s verification is pending, multiple eyewitnesses confirm the disturbance.
According to those present, the ceremony was in full swing when six to eight men forced entry, allegedly following a disagreement that quickly turned violent. The assault affected numerous attendees, including women, children and senior citizens, spreading fear throughout the crowd. Several interveners tried to halt the attack, but the assailants continued until they fled the premises.
The Jevar police have lodged a formal complaint based on victim testimonies and are actively investigating the incident. Authorities are reviewing the viral footage, statements, and other evidence to identify all persons involved. Police officials have pledged rigorous legal action against any perpetrators found guilty and are examining whether the conflict arose from old enmities, personal disputes, or other causes.
