Manoj Kumar urges zero FIR against BJP after Haldauni controversy

Congress MP Manoj Kumar demanded that a zero FIR be filed against senior BJP leaders in connection with the alleged “purification” episode in Haldauni, Uttarakhand. He described the matter as an insult to the nation, the Dalit community, and all elected representatives.

Kumar recalled that senior BJP figure JP Nadda, speaking in Parliament, called the incident unfortunate and promised action. Yet, Kumar questioned when that promise would translate into a formal FIR. He noted that a zero FIR had already been lodged in Bangalore, and he pressed the local police and administration in Haldauni to launch an impartial investigation without political interference.
