Manmohan Singh exonerated; Supreme Court overturns CBI closure rejection

The highest court has overturned the earlier order of the Special CBI Court that rejected the agency’s closure report. The bench, led by Chief Justice Suryakant, held that the CBI’s investigative findings were sufficient and that the special judge lacked justification to revive charges. Consequently, the case against the late former Prime Minister has been permanently closed.
