Detailed Overview of Manipur's Voter List Revision Process

The revision of Manipur’s voter list involved extensive field verification. Between July 5 and August 4, election officials logged 96,985 claims and objections. Sixty Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and 84 Assistant EROs examined each case. All 2,956 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) coordinated with their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to verify absentee, relocated, deceased or duplicate entries. Help desks were set up at the Chief Electoral Officer’s office and the 16 District Electoral Offices to assist citizens in completing enrollment forms.
