In a candid interview with IANS, BJP parliamentarian and Bar Council head Manan Kumar Mishra outlined the NDA’s fortified position in Tamil Nadu while addressing key national flashpoints. The public, he claims, is ‘completely fed up’ with DMK’s corruption-ridden regime.
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court recently acquitted Congress veteran Sajjan Kumar in a long-standing 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, sparking nationwide debate. Mishra adopted a measured tone: ‘Full probe, evidence gathered, trial completed. Acquittal after decades—now, will there be an appeal? The court deems him innocent for now. Only after appellate courts decide can we opine definitively.’
Shifting focus southward, Mishra celebrated AMMK’s NDA entry. ‘Our Tamil Nadu coalition is solid and game-changing. DMK’s corruption has left citizens distressed; it’s turned into a lawless haven. Piyush Goyal rightly predicts NDA victory in the polls,’ he asserted.
He targeted I-PAC, accusing it of scams that drew ED scrutiny. ‘A bogus entity. The Haryana-based lender they touted? Non-existent. Revelations will unfold with probes. Mamata Banerjee, sensing trouble, rushed to seize documents and devices from their office,’ Mishra charged.
Regarding Bangladesh’s World Cup participation dilemma, he warned: ‘Conditions in Bangladesh are alarming—Hindus face grave threats. They must not hesitate to come to India; no one should tolerate such insecurity back home.’
These pronouncements signal BJP’s electoral ambitions in Tamil Nadu, where NDA aims to capitalize on anti-incumbency against DMK. As alliances tighten, the battle for the Dravidian heartland intensifies.
