Major Crackdown: 8 Women Saved from Delhi Sex Trafficking Den, Minor Among Victims

Delhi’s law enforcement delivered a powerful blow to human traffickers Wednesday night, raiding a notorious den near Ajmeri Gate in Central Delhi and rescuing eight women trapped in a web of exploitation. Among them was a 17-year-old minor, highlighting the ruthless tactics of this syndicate.

The swift action stemmed from sensitive tips about ongoing trafficking. Under ACP Rinchon Ongmu Bhutia’s oversight and SI Kiran Sethi’s command, the team—bolstered by forensic experts, crime branch personnel, and NGO volunteers—stormed the location on SN Marg. Initial probes confirmed it as a hub for commercial sex work and trafficking.

The young survivor recounted her ordeal: deceived from West Bengal by Aliya alias Pinky, she was passed to Kumari and Rahul, who ran the show. On-site managers Suraj (Gopi Ram Parihar, Nepali national) and Motu (Luma Kant Pandey) managed payments and customer dealings. Other women were hidden in secret compartments to dodge raids.

Seizures painted a grim picture of operations: over Rs 1.97 lakh cash, foreign currencies including USD and Nepali notes, narcotics like 33g ganja, condoms, stained fabrics suggesting assaults, ledgers of deals, tokens for services, weapons, drugs, diaries, and massive alcohol stocks—264 bottles and 478 beer cans.

Two suspects are in custody, but the kingpins Kumari and Rahul are fugitives. Multiple cases invoked BNS, POCSO, ITP Act, NDPS, and liquor laws. Evidence suggests a cross-state racket spanning West Bengal, Assam, and Nepal.

DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh vowed intensified probes to uncover the full network and save additional victims. This operation not only liberates the rescued but signals zero tolerance for such depravity in the capital.
