Major Companies Consider Shifting Strategies Due to President Trump's New H-1B Visa Policy, Potentially Benefiting India

President Donald Trump's controversial policies continue to draw criticism both domestically and internationally. Recent changes to the H-1B visa policy are expected to prompt major shifts in strategy among US companies. Industry experts and economists predict that these changes will accelerate the relocation of critical operations, from finance to research and development, to India, fueling the growth of Global Capability Centers (GCCs).

India, the world's fifth-largest economy, hosts over 1,700 GCCs, accounting for more than half of the global total. These centers are evolving beyond tech support, becoming hubs for high-value innovation, including designing luxury car dashboards and discovering new medicines.
