Tension boiled over into brutality in Naigaon, Maharashtra, as a son and his wife launched a vicious attack on his aging parents amid a heated property division argument. Reported on March 21 from Daund, the case has sparked outrage and prompted swift police response.
The episode started innocently enough outside the family home, where 50-year-old Malan Sanjay Kale stood with her husband Sanjay Pritilal Kale. Their son Amol and wife Priyanka showed up, insisting the parents hand over the residence. Rejection of their demand ignited fury.
Amol seized a wooden lathi and battered his father’s head, back, and hands mercilessly. When Malan stepped in to protect her husband, she faced blows as well. The attackers reportedly issued death threats to the victims before making a hasty escape.
Rushing to Daund police station, the traumatized couple filed charges, seeking justice. A FIR was promptly lodged under BNS sections 115(2), 118(1), 351(2), 352, and 3(5). Police Constable Mhetre is spearheading the inquiry, with raids ongoing to apprehend the fugitives.
This harrowing incident serves as a stark reminder of how inheritance battles can fracture families irreparably. Experts call for legal awareness and counseling to prevent such tragedies, as the community rallies in support of the beleaguered parents awaiting resolution.
