Maharashtra Remembers Ajit Pawar: Statements from Supreeya Sule and Party Leaders
Maharashtra observed the birth anniversary of the late deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar with a series of tributes on July 22. Among the most notable was a moving note from NCP MP Supreeya Sule, who reflected on Pawar’s personality, his leadership legacy and the personal moments they shared.
Sule confessed that offering a ceremonial homage at this time is painful for her. She highlighted that since Pawar’s death earlier this year, his family and the state’s residents have endured continuous mourning.
She spoke fondly about how "Dada" always safeguarded his brothers and sisters, fostering a deep sense of affection that now feels absent. According to Sule, his disciplined nature, diligent work ethic and influential speaking style are still widely remembered throughout Maharashtra.
The MP also pointed out Pawar’s substantial input toward the state’s development, commending his strategic vision, managerial competence and firm resolve to solve public problems.
Wrapping up, Sule affirmed that Ajit Pawar’s memories will stay alive in the hearts of many, adding, "It feels as if you remain among us. We miss you deeply, Dada. My heart is filled with many memories today. The sorrow among our siblings will always linger because your shadow is no longer beside us."
