Maharashtra Politics Commented by Pappu Yadav Amid Bankipur Election Rhetoric
Mumbai, July 19 – While discussing the Bankipur assembly by‑poll, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav turned his attention to the political dynamics in Maharashtra. He remarked that the six Lok Sabha members from Uddhav Thackeray’s camp joining Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is a clear sign of shifting loyalties.
Yadav argued that Shinde’s growing influence should compel the Bharatiya Janata Party to consider him as chief minister without hesitation, stating that the people of Maharashtra are already inclined toward his leadership.
Back on the Bankipur contest, Yadav accused Prashant Kishore of turning the election into a showcase of wealth and digital tricks. He alleged that Kishore’s campaign, built on massive tents and lavish speeches, attempts to buy voter confidence, dubbing him the second “Natwar Lal” of the state.
He warned that a direct clash between the BJP and the Nationalist Janata Dal would likely see the BJP win on the back of government support and monetary might, rather than genuine voter outreach. Yadav also highlighted that many aspirants claim to have served Bihar and Bankipur in the past, yet have never delivered tangible results.
Concluding his remarks, Yadav emphasized that genuine political change stems from street‑level activism and mass movements, not merely from social‑media promotions, citing Rahul Gandhi’s extensive foot‑marches as an example of real engagement.
