Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. A new update has emerged in the famous Ankita Rathore and Hasnain Ansari Love Jihad case. Additional Collector and Marriage Officer Court has rejected the marriage application of Ankita and Hasnain. Hasnain was not staying at the address given in the application.
It is being told that Hasnain Ansari was not living at the address mentioned for the last 10 years. In such a situation, the marriage application has been rejected if Hasnain’s absence at the address shown under Section 5 of the Special Marriage Act 1954. In this case, in December 2024, the High Court gave marriage permission under the Special Hindu Marriage Act. This decision was also strongly opposed by Hinduist organizations. Not only this, Hyderabad MLA T Raja Singh also protested. He had said to go to the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision.

Justice Ahluwalia, while delivering the verdict on May 2024, did not call the marriage of a Muslim boy and Hindu girl valid under Muslim personal law. The court also dismissed a petition demanding security in such Hindu Muslim marriage. The Hinduist organization said that there is a possibility of conversion on such marriage. At the same time, the administration was also demanded to hand over the girl to her parents. Please tell that Ankita Rathore, who lives in Indore and Hasnain Ansari, a resident of Sihora in Jabalpur, applied for marriage on 7 October 2024.
