Madhya Pradesh receives highest share of biodiversity benefit‑sharing payment

Among the states, Madhya Pradesh obtained the largest portion of the ABS pool – 46.93 lakh rupees. West Bengal followed with 44.76 lakh rupees and Odisha with 44.08 lakh rupees. The distribution was calculated proportionally based on crop‑area data supplied by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, reflecting where the relevant agricultural species are cultivated.
