Lucknow witnessed a mesmerizing blend of technology and patriotism as Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityynath inaugurated an advanced laser, light, and sound presentation at Smritika War Memorial on Saturday. Spanning 30 minutes in Hindi, this immersive show uses high-tech visuals, audio, and illuminations to narrate the Indian Army’s journey—from historic battles to contemporary achievements and contributions to India’s growth.

Daily evening screenings will soon welcome visitors, offering a vivid retelling of pivotal wars: 1947-48, 1962, 1965, and 1971. It highlights Central Command’s strategic roles in Meghdoot and Vijay operations, while honoring Awadh’s Param Vir Chakra heroes and the region’s storied warrior traditions. The narrative extends to the Army’s ongoing transformation amid shifting warfare dynamics and breakthroughs in indigenous defense manufacturing, spotlighted in Operation Sindoor, with UP’s Defence Corridor symbolizing Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Enhancing the venue, comprehensive upgrades include top-tier projectors, speakers, an amphitheater, and murals depicting modern weaponry and trophies. Three dedicated mural walls will act as vibrant backdrops for the laser display. Spearheaded by Central Command with UP government and tourism backing, this elevates the 1994-founded memorial’s mission to salute soldiers’ valor and educate the public, especially youth, on military legacy.

Prominent attendees included Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, and various dignitaries. This inauguration not only modernizes commemoration but also bridges generations through spectacular storytelling, reinforcing national unity and pride in our defenders.
