Local Intelligence Leads to Capture of Cross‑State Bike Thieves in Surajpur

Surajpur police leveraged local intelligence and electronic surveillance on September 6 to dismantle an interstate bike‑theft ring operating in Greater Noida. The gang members would roam neighborhoods in Delhi, NCR, Noida and Greater Noida, identifying two‑wheelers to steal and then stashing them in secluded forest tracks and unpaved roads near a railway bridge.

When the opportunity to sell arose, the stolen motorcycles and scooters were moved to different locations to avoid detection. The police raid resulted in the seizure of the vehicles, two illegal knives, and the arrest of four suspects.
