Local Intelligence Leads to Bust of Cannabis Trafficking Ring in Noida

Collaborative efforts between local intelligence units and beat police resulted in the arrest of two cannabis smugglers in Greater Noida on August 17, 2026. The operation uncovered 23.6 kg of marijuana and a motorbike employed for its movement. The suspects, identified as Nitesh (22) and Ram Pal (40), have previously been prosecuted under the NDPS Act and, more recently, under the Arms Act. Police officials said the seizure is part of an ongoing campaign to dismantle drug networks in Gautam Buddh Nagar and surrounding districts. Further questioning aims to locate the source of the seized narcotic and the individuals responsible for its distribution.
