Leadership Lessons from Prime Minister Modi Highlighted in New Book Launch

New Delhi – The Igniting Ideas Forum 2026 served as the launch platform for *Igniting a Billion Lamps*, a work that extracts leadership principles from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life.

Author Ashok K. Pandey clarified that the book is an analytical study of lessons learned from governance, not a personal biography. He noted that Modi’s approach—selfless service, ‘karma‑yogi’ mindset and community development—offers a template for school‑level leadership education.

Dr. Amitabh Ranjan, Vice‑President of I.I.T. Alumni India, praised the book for outlining how these traits can be woven into curricula, fostering holistic development of students.

The forum’s participants argued that by teaching leadership as a subject, schools can nurture responsible future citizens who align with the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering 1.4 billion Indians and preparing a robust workforce for 2055.

The event closed with a consensus that integrating such leadership modules will be pivotal for realizing a prosperous, inclusive India by 2047.
