India marked the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Sukhdev Thapar with profound respect on May 15, as top political figures united in tribute. These homage-paying moments come at a time when the nation grapples with contemporary challenges, making Sukhdev's example all the more relevant. Born in 1907, Sukhdev joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association young, organizing protests and arms training against British tyranny. His hanging on March 23, 1931, alongside comrades, shocked the empire and galvanized the masses. Today, as leaders invoke his name, it serves as a rallying cry for unity and resolve in building a stronger India.
