Law students highlight voting rights denial at Punjab University

During a recent campus demonstration, law students revealed that a significant number of their peers were barred from casting votes in an internal election because the university gates were locked. Ravi Kumar, a third‑year law student, described the incident as a direct violation of democratic rights and urged the administration to restore voting access.

The students argued that denying the right to vote not only contravenes basic democratic principles but also erodes trust in the institution's governance. They demanded that future elections be conducted in an open, accessible manner, free from administrative obstruction.
