Latest subhashit from Modi highlights truth, health and social good

NEW DELHI, August 10 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi used X on Monday to circulate a new subhashit that stresses listening to truthful, auspicious and enlightening expressions and adopting ideas that benefit society.

He reminded followers, “Let us absorb words that are true, gracious and educational, and live with a sound body, exemplary conduct and lofty traits, dedicating ourselves to public welfare. Share credible, people‑centric news to awaken, empower and harmonise the nation.”

The post also featured a Sanskrit mantra: “bhadram karṇebhiḥ śṛṇuyāma devā bhadram paśyemākṣabhiryajatrāḥ | sthirair aṅgais tuṣṭuvān s tanūbhiḥ vyashem devahi taṁ yadāyuḥ |”. The verse calls for the pursuit of noble deeds and the protection of divine welfare.

This follows two prior entries. On August 7, Modi quoted a verse illustrating how the moon’s natural brilliance mirrors the innate generosity of great hearts. On August 6, he posted a line praising Mother Earth, the source of all healing plants, and urged citizens to serve the nation with knowledge, courage and compassion.

The series underscores a consistent message: personal well‑being, truthful communication and selfless service are essential to India’s progress.
