Large cash haul linked to Tamil Nadu gold dealer uncovered by IT officers

On August 21, Income Tax agents intercepted a Kerala‑registered car in Electronic City and found about ₹9 crore in unaccounted cash. The cash belonged to a gold trader from Thuthukudi, Tamil Nadu, whose residence yielded another ₹1.35 crore. He is now in custody as investigators probe the source of the funds.
