The IMD cautions that the mountainous districts of Tamil Nadu may face heightened landslide risk and temporary water accumulation due to the forecasted rain. While the Western Ghats bear the brunt of the precipitation, the rest of the state, including the Union Territory of Puducherry and the Karaikal region, is likely to see only scattered light showers. No heavy rain is expected outside the ghats, but a few isolated spots may receive drizzle.
