Kulgam Blast Prompts Rajasthan’s Security Warning and Political Rant

Jaipur, August 1 – The Rajasthan Home Ministry issued a stern warning after a terror attack in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed two migrant workers. Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham told reporters that the state’s security apparatus will act “rigorously” against any attempts to spread terror.

He confirmed that the incident has been logged and that police and specialized forces have been tasked with a thorough investigation. Bedham warned that any organization taking credit for the strike will face “severe legal and operational consequences.”

During the same briefing, the minister launched a sharp critique of the Rajasthan Congress, pointing to recent statements by party president Govind Singh Dotasra. Bedham described Dotasra’s claim of not needing any “certificate from any ‘aeree‑gare’” as an example of hubris that erodes party discipline.

The minister suggested that internal factionalism is the biggest threat to the Congress’s survival and called for unity and focus on the nation’s security challenges.

Bedham concluded by assuring citizens that the government will not compromise on protecting India’s borders and citizens.
