Kota Investigation Relies on Medical Reports and Surveillance Footage

Jaipur, September 9 — The Kota police have intensified their inquiry into the alleged sexual assault of a three‑year‑old girl by cross‑checking medical findings with CCTV recordings. The investigation, filed under the POCSO Act, is being managed by the Women’s Crime Investigation Cell and overseen by Additional SP Mukesh Sankhla.

Medical examination by a pediatric specialist revealed inflammation and tenderness around the child’s lower abdomen and private areas, raising a strong suspicion of abuse. The doctor immediately alerted the parents, who then approached the police.

Investigators have taken DNA samples from several male staff members employed at the child’s nearby play school, as well as from other individuals present in the area during the relevant time frame. The Forensic Science Laboratory is processing these samples for DNA profiling.

Concurrently, a team of officials is scanning CCTV footage from local shops, streets and the play‑school to piece together the child’s movements and to spot any unknown adult who may have been in close contact with her.

The police have not yet confirmed the identity of any suspect. Further details are expected once the forensic analysis and video review are completed.
