Kochi Summit Sets Stage for BRICS Women Ministers Meeting in July

The city of Kochi will host the BRICS Women Working Group on July 6‑7, marking a pivotal step toward a senior women‑ministerial meeting on July 8‑9. Delegates from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the UAE will gather to discuss strategies that place women at the forefront of development.

The meeting follows three virtual pre‑sessions that refined the agenda, allowing participants to arrive with clear priorities. Topics will span women’s leadership, digital and financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, skill development, and the impact of climate change on women’s livelihoods.
