Kishore’s election statements draw criticism from JD(U) chief’s office
Patna – Speaking to IANS on Saturday, Neeraj Kumar, the principal spokesperson for JD(U), delivered a scathing critique of Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj Party, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the Bankipur by‑poll. Kumar said that if Kishore truly believes in his own confidence, he should reveal the “chant” that underpins it.
Kishore had earlier asserted that contesting elections necessitates visiting the constituency and meeting voters, urging people to rise above the fear‑driven habit of voting either for the BJP because they fear the Congress or vice‑versa, and instead select a more capable representative.
Kumar countered by citing the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly results, where Kishore’s party allegedly suffered a major defeat, unable to win a single seat. He warned that the continued issuance of lofty statements could label Kishore as a master of political dramatics rather than a serious contender.
The JD(U) figure also touched upon India’s foreign policy, stating that there has never been a disagreement on the nation’s diplomatic line. He accused Rahul Gandhi of criticizing India on foreign soil and questioned why the Congress opposes MOUs signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi while it allegedly pushes a “corruption‑based” approach to international agreements.
