Khurana Says Kejriwal’s Religious Outreach Is Mere Election Tactic

BJP representative Harish Khurana warned that AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is turning the Ram Temple narrative into an election strategy. Speaking on July 12, Khurana said the BJP has repeatedly observed Kejriwal’s pattern of amplifying Hindu symbols whenever polls are near. He noted that the Yogi Adityanath administration has activated a Special Investigation Team to scrutinise the alleged illegal idol placement at the Ram Temple site, leading to several detentions. Khurana cited Kejriwal’s earlier remarks that questioned the relevance of the temple, contrasting them with his current push for a signature campaign on the same issue. The MLA also highlighted Kejriwal’s frequent visits to a Hanuman temple during the Delhi Assembly elections, asking how many such pilgrimages will follow the vote. He further accused Kejriwal of staying mute on the Subri Mala temple theft case, suggesting a deliberate attempt to colour the matter politically. Khurana called for faith in the judicial process and reminded citizens that they can distinguish genuine concerns from electoral posturing.
