Key Postings Announced as Rajasthan Reassigns Senior Bureaucrats

A late‑night order on August 17 saw Rajasthan overhaul its bureaucratic map, relocating 79 officers across the state. The action affected 26 IAS officers and 53 RAS officers, aiming to strengthen governance at multiple levels.

The Department of Personnel issued the transfer and posting orders, which were put into effect immediately. Among the IAS cadre, 13 officers still in training were moved, and an officer who had been waiting for a posting was given a new assignment.

Highlights of the reshuffle: Nitya K., who completed his stint as Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority, is now Joint Secretary of the Energy Department, Jaipur. Dr. Shilpa Singh, the former Registrar of Sardar Patel Police University, Jodhpur, has been posted as Joint Secretary of the Planning Department.

Utsah Chauhan transitioned from the Commissioner role at Jodhpur Development Authority to Joint Secretary of the Disaster Management and Relief Department. Giradhar (IAS 2019) is appointed CEO of the BIDA in Khairthal‑Tijara. Snehal Nanna Dhangude moves from Alwar Urban Improvement Trust to become Commissioner of the Bikaner Development Authority. Lalit Goyal, who had been waiting for a posting, joins the Public Works Department as Joint Secretary.

Additional senior appointments include Pratibha Verma as Director of IEC, Abhishek Jain as CEO of Shri Ganganagar District Council with extra responsibility as an EGS, Gaurav Budania as Commissioner of Ajmer Municipal Corporation, and Avadh Nirvatti Somnath as additional CEO of RITI, Jaipur.
