Keshav Maurya Questions Akhilesh Yadav’s Ayodhya Visit Amidst Party Silence

Lucknow, 8 November – While extending Diwali greetings, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was asked about Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s trip to Ayodhya. Maurya answered that the party has not released any official statement on the matter, nor has Yadav spoken publicly about it.

He added that if a party member or candidate makes a remark, he would respond only after an official communication is issued. Maurya warned that certain factions within the party belong to “anti‑Ram” families and do not respect the sentiments of Rama devotees.

According to Maurya, the questions raised are not directed at the chief minister, saints, or those involved in temple construction, but rather stem from the questioners themselves. He said the issue reflects internal contradictions and will be addressed once a formal party position is made public.
