In a rousing endorsement, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya described the freshly tabled 2026-27 state budget as a game-changer for building a developed Uttar Pradesh. Presented in the assembly on Wednesday, the budget reflects PM Modi’s adept guidance and prioritizes the four pillars: the poor, youth, women, and farmers.
‘Under the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, this inclusive budget lays a strong foundation for holistic progress,’ Maurya stated. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna’s seventh consecutive presentation marks a consistent push towards elevating UP within the Developed India framework.
Shifting focus to cultural patriotism, Maurya applauded the central government’s updated guidelines on ‘Vande Mataram’. Celebrating 150 years since its creation by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, he called it a ‘welcome step’ that honors national pride.
Minister Jayveer Singh termed the budget a well-orchestrated plan that brings everyone along, providing a detailed roadmap for development akin to Viksit Bharat. He dismissed any political debate over ‘Vande Mataram’, insisting it’s a devotional hymn to India that all should embrace.
Nitin Agarwal reinforced the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of key demographics, continuing the trend from previous years. Ashish Singh Patel pointed out how the budget addresses public aspirations through targeted investments in education, infrastructure, social welfare, and employment opportunities.
Sanjay Nishad went further, labeling it the biggest budget ever under CM’s oversight, with the explicit goal of making UP the nation’s leading state. This financial plan, rich in vision and resources, is set to catalyze economic momentum and social equity, fostering a brighter future for Uttar Pradesh’s 24 crore residents.
