Kerala recruitment scandal sparks internal commission clash
A controversy over the recruitment of chief‑level posts in three departments of the Kerala Planning Board has put the PSC at the centre of a political storm. Allegations claim that ten questions were left unchecked during the common exam, yet rank lists for two positions were still published, including the appointment of a candidate linked to a left‑leaning organization who topped the list. Although the commission later admitted an evaluation error and cancelled one rank list, it has not re‑examined answer sheets nor revised the rankings, prompting renewed demands for an independent inquiry. The current assignment to the Internal Vigilance SP has not quelled pressure on the ruling government to involve the state vigilance and anti‑corruption bureau.
