Kaushiki Amavasya Festival to Run Sep 10-11 with Spiritual Rituals

The Kaushiki Amavasya observance this year runs from the morning of September 10 at 10:33 a.m. until the following day at 8:56 a.m. Devotees believe that Mother Tara manifested on this night, granting powerful tantric energy to those who worship her.

At the adjoining Tara Peeth Mahashmashan, secret tantric rites are performed throughout the night, symbolizing Mother Tara's triumph over negative forces. Traditional worship of Mother Tara and Mother Kali is scheduled for the evening of September 10.
