Karnataka’s mandatory daily release of Cauvery water highlighted by Shivakant

Shashikant Senthil, a senior Tamil Nadu political figure, declared that the Cauvery water dispute is no longer a controversy but a settled matter. He cited the Cauvery Water Resources Management Board’s directive, which mandates Karnataka to discharge 3,000 cubic feet per second each day for the benefit of Tamil Nadu’s farms.

Senthil appealed directly to the Karnataka administration, urging immediate action and pledging to keep pressure on the state to honor the order, especially as summer heat intensifies water scarcity.
