Karnataka Announces ‘Service One’, Transport Apps and Subsidised Farm Machinery

The CM highlighted the rollout of the "Retrofit Emission Control Device" (RECD) for older vehicles to curb pollution, and introduced the "One Karnataka Mobility" mobile application to integrate public transport information. A dedicated CSR fund, supported by the World Bank, will upgrade 1,000 government schools in remote areas to KPS standards, and a 7.5% reservation will be set aside for rural students pursuing higher education. For the agricultural sector, the "Mukhyamantri Negilu Yogi" initiative will offer mechanised sowing services at subsidised rates to small‑holder farmers. Additionally, the "Industry Fund" and "Youth Industry Bridge" programmes will channel private‑sector investment into skill‑training centres aligned with industry needs.
