Kanpur Dehat Incident: Police Register Cases After Brutal Mob Attack

Following the release of a graphic video from Kanpur Dehat’s Derapur area, law enforcement officials have filed formal charges against the perpetrators of a violent outbreak. The clip shows a man, who had gone to meet his married lover, being restrained, tied with rope, and repeatedly struck on his feet with batons. His companion was also subjected to severe physical abuse. Police officials state they were alerted to a disturbance when a person entered a house and was assaulted. On arrival, officers found both victims injured, arranged for medical evaluation, and began questioning witnesses.
