Kalindi Kunj Rescue Operation: Police and Firefighters Save Two Women After Fall
Friday evening saw an unusual rescue mission in Delhi's Kalindi Kunj area after a family feud over a video recording turned physical. According to officials, Rubina, aged 25, exited her apartment's first‑floor balcony and fell onto the street, sustaining injuries that warranted urgent medical intervention. She was initially admitted to a local health centre and later air‑lifted by PCR ambulance Kite‑22 to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for comprehensive treatment. In a separate but related incident, 24‑year‑old Fatima locked herself inside a bedroom before jumping into the building's open shaft, where she became stuck in a confined space. Police officers, under the command of Rakesh Singh, coordinated with Delhi Fire Service crews, employing all available extraction equipment to retrieve her safely. Fatima was also transferred via Kite‑22 to AIIMS. The combined operation of the police and fire services ensured that both women received prompt medical attention and avoided fatal injuries.
