Joint Police Operation Foils Theft in Krishna Vatika, Two Suspects Injured

A coordinated effort by Mathura’s Refinery police and the Anti‑Reward team succeeded in halting a burglary that had taken place in the Kishan Vatika colony of the city. The victims’ complaint led to a continuous pursuit of the thieves, who later resurfaced in the same neighbourhood.

When police attempted to stop the suspect’s car on a narrow road near the railway station, the suspects opened fire, targeting the officers. Quick retaliatory fire wounded both men in the right leg. They were apprehended, transported to a hospital under police protection, and later placed in a police station for further questioning.

The operation yielded the seizure of two unauthorized firearms, additional ammunition, stolen batteries, a gas cylinder, the stolen Aura car and a cash stash of Rs 99,500.
