Joint ATS‑Karnataka Operation Leads to Arrests Over Cross‑Border Terror Links

A combined effort by the Uttar Pradesh Anti‑Terrorism Squad and Karnataka police resulted in the seizure of two men from Kalaburagi on Thursday. The detainees, named Mohammad Sameer and Salman, are alleged to have sustained regular contact with Pakistan’s ISI and its subsidiary ISI‑S through digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook. Both were employed at a meat‑export facility, which became the focal point of a broader inter‑state social‑media monitoring initiative targeting potential anti‑national activity. Following their arrest, the pair were handed over to ATS for further questioning at a confidential location, with the case officially recorded at the Kalaburagi University Police Station.
