Joint AHT and Beta‑2 Teams Conduct Raid on Four Spa Units in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Under the “Operation Raksha” initiative, the Anti‑Human‑Trafficking (AHT) and Beta‑2 police units executed a synchronized raid on four spa centers operating in Gautam Buddha Nagar on July 18. The operation, ordered by Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh and overseen by Deputy Commissioner (Women Safety) Suniti, aimed to dismantle networks involved in women’s exploitation and human trafficking. Investigators scrutinized licensing paperwork, staff lists and day‑to‑day activities at each venue. The effort, supported by an NGO, resulted in the rescue of 28 women who were immediately provided with safety shelter, counseling and legal assistance. In addition, 15 suspects were detained for further interrogation concerning possible trafficking links. Police officials stated that the ongoing probe will trace the full extent of the criminal network and pursue all responsible parties. The department pledged continued vigilance and routine checks of spas, massage parlors and related businesses to reinforce women’s protection across the region.
