JMM vows mass protests if MDRA Bill not withdrawn

Binod Pandey, JMM’s general secretary, announced that the party will adopt an “activist” stance if the MDRA Bill is not pulled back. "We have already briefed every district committee, every mass organisation and all levels of the party. All workers have been instructed to stay prepared for sit‑ins, rallies and a state‑wide mineral blockade," he said.

Pandey stressed that the strategy has been finalised and will be disclosed when the time is right. He warned that a continued refusal to withdraw the bill would lead to a complete halt of mineral movement out of Jharkhand, causing a nationwide economic choke‑hold.
