JMM claims Soren will be exonerated in Badgaiyan land money‑laundering saga

Ranchi, 21 September – As the special PMLA court in Ranchi readies for a decisive session on Monday, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has issued a statement asserting that Chief Minister Hemant Soren will be cleared of all charges relating to the 8.86‑acre Badgaiyan land transaction alleged to involve money‑laundering. Spokesperson Manoj Pandey told the press that the CM’s appearance before the court is merely a procedural step and that “the judicial process will prove his innocence.”

Pandey recalled earlier judicial decisions that granted bail and noted that the high court had earlier remarked that “no case was made,” reinforcing the party’s confidence that the chief minister will be acquitted. He stressed that the JMM has not been able to locate any concrete evidence against Soren despite extensive scrutiny.

The party also addressed the JSSC CGLE admission dispute, assuring that an unbiased investigation is underway and that the resultant “halaphnaama” reflects the government’s dedication to safeguarding student interests.

Shifting focus to national politics, Pandey accused the BJP‑run administrations of facilitating coal theft and illegal mining, ridiculing the central government’s “Zero Coal Leakage” plan as a mere illusion. He called for decisive action against those allegedly involved in coal mafia activities, many of whom, he claimed, belong to the opposition.

The JMM’s message remains consistent: the chief minister is innocent, the courts will confirm it, and political opponents should not distract from genuine governance issues.
