An investigative panel headed by IAS officer Ashwani Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Power Development Department, has been tasked with probing the controversial book approvals. The panel will submit its report within 30 days. Simultaneously, the government issued an order blacklisting the authors and publishing houses involved. Any printed material authored or published by them is now prohibited from circulation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The move aims to curb the spread of separatist propaganda and safeguard law and order.
