In a strategic move to bolster its media presence, Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari has launched a ‘Talent Hunt Program’ for recruiting spokespersons and coordinators. Speaking at a press conference in Bhopal on February 16, Patwari outlined the deadline for applications as February 28, signaling an aggressive push to identify top talent.
The program targets energetic professionals with ideological depth, research prowess, eloquent oratory, media management expertise, and a commitment to factual discourse. Candidates must demonstrate organizational loyalty and empathy for grassroots issues. Roles include spokespersons, research coordinators, and publicity coordinators across multiple levels.
The multi-tiered selection unfolds with interviews at divisional levels, judged by AICC nominees, committee members, veteran leaders, and local presidents. AICC holds the ultimate authority on appointments. This merit-based system aims to sideline favoritism, fostering a new generation of communicators.
Patwari positioned Congress as an ideological movement, not merely a party, inviting widespread participation from young leaders and activists. Umang Singhar, the opposition leader, lauded it as a cornerstone for evidence-driven critique of the ruling dispensation, empowering informed voices to uphold democracy.
Mukesh Nayak, head of the media department, specified the quotas: just 20 provincial spokespersons, supplemented by panelists at various tiers, including district, divisional, national, and a dedicated English media specialist. This targeted recruitment is poised to sharpen Congress’s narrative edge in Madhya Pradesh politics.
