A shocking incident has come to light from the Simdega district of Jharkhand, where a newlywed woman allegedly set her husband on fire after dousing him with petrol. The incident occurred in the Ganjhu Toli area of Genmer Panchayat in Bano block. The victim, identified as Manoj Singh, sustained severe burn injuries and has been admitted to the IGH Hospital in Rourkela for advanced treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.
Police from the Girda OP have taken the accused, Puja Devi, into custody and initiated an investigation. According to local residents, Manoj Singh and Puja were married approximately four months ago. The police are investigating the cause of the incident, which has become a topic of discussion in the area. Earlier, a similar incident happened in Gumla district of Jharkhand, where a woman attacked her husband with an axe and set him on fire.
