Weather Update: Heatwave in Delhi, Snow and Rain in 20 States

India's weather map presents a study in contrasts this week, with over 20 states experiencing diverse climatic conditions. In Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, the primary concern remains the rising heat. A formal heatwave warning is in place for Delhi until Wednesday, with the maximum temperature expected to rise by a couple of degrees. The intense heat is not just limited to the capital; several parts of Bihar are also on high alert for rain following the heat spell, with showers predicted for April 24 and 25. In the eastern and northeastern parts of the country, the weather remains volatile. Assam and Meghalaya are set to witness a prolonged rainy spell from April 22 to April 27. Meanwhile, Sikkim is preparing for a significant weather event on April 26, where heavy rain and localized snowfall are expected. Down south and in central India, states like Kerala, Karnataka, and Telangana are not immune to the atmospheric changes. Telangana, in particular, has a warning for isolated hailstorms, while parts of Maharashtra and Goa might see light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds.
